Samples of my work
Shown here are three of my rocking chairs.  The rocker on the left was done in walnut, the second in curly maple with ebony accents, and the third in cherry.  I do not paint my chairs because of the richness and beauty of the wood, instead I use oil and wax to protect the wood and enhance its unique qualities.
If you look closely, you will see that all three chairs have different styles.  The head rests, rockers, and back spindles are all different.  There are three different chair sizes (small, medium, and large).  This is where customizing comes in.  I can build a chair to your specifications, letting you choose the wood, style, size, and best support for your back.
There are two back spindle styles.  The first gives you support high up on your back, which encourages you to sit up straight.  The second style is curved at the bottom, giving the lower back support and relaxing you back into the chair.  Most, but not all users, prefer the second style.  Personally, I like both styles and use both on a regular basis.

Shows and Exhibits
My rocking chairs have been in several shows at The Jacksonville Center for the Arts in Floyd, Virginia.  One of my walnut rockers with the lower back support won the People's Choice award at a Jacksonville Center show in 2007.  My rockers are currently on display at the Over the Moon Gallery in Floyd, Virginia.
